Lutheran Camp Chrysalis

Challenge Course

Challenge yourself on our high ropes elements! Youth, adults and family groups are invited to come challenge themselves on the high ropes elements at Camp Chrysalis. The climbing opportunity is designed to help participants grow and stretch themselves, and their group, through fun and challenging activities.

Group Building
The staff at Camp Chrysalis is trained to lead a variety of group building games and activities. These activities take place on the ground or wooden platforms. Activities focus on helping the group grow and work cohesively using different skills. We are happy to tailor activities to meet the needs of your group.

High Ropes Elements
The high ropes course will require at least three hours depending on the size of the group. Participants must be able to properly fit in the required climbing gear. Our trained staff will lead the activities. All participants must sign a release form.

Climbing Tower
The Chrysalis climbing tower was added in 2007 and offers a rock climbing experience for two people at a time.
Zip Line
Once a participant reaches the top of the climbing tower, he or she can fly down the zip line into the Chrysalis field.
Giant Swing
The Giant Swing allows participants to clip in and choose how far they would like to swing. A team of others pulls the individual to his or her preferred height, and then the participant is able to swing away.

Incline Log
Walking on an angled log sounds easy, but it takes on a new angle when you are climbing it over ten feet in the air.

High Wild Woozy
Two partners work together to move as far as possible down the sides of a V-shaped wire using nothing by each other. This task takes on an extra challenge of being over twenty feet in the air.

Cargo Net and Ladder
Participants climb the cargo net and ladder to reach the top of the climbing tower. This element can be done individually or with a partner.
