Safety and Emergency Information

Cross Trails Ministry values and teaches risk and crisis management so that the focus of the camp experience can be upon the campers and their growth in faith and life skills during their time at camp.

Both Camp Chrysalis and Ebert Ranch Camp have been voluntarily accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) for decades.  The ACA is the highest nationwide standard of best practices for risk and crisis management as well as quality program development for camps.

Camp Chrysalis and Ebert Ranch Camp are also licensed and inspected by the state of Texas.  This year, all licensed camps are required to submit their Emergency Action Plan to the state for approval.  When they are approved, we will provide them to all camper parents and prospective camper parents. For Camp Chrysalis camper parents, there will also be a required acknowledgement that Turtle Creek flows through the base of the camp, and the pool house building is the only building within the FEMA 100-year floodplain.  All cabins are well above the floodplain.

Finally, as licensed youth camps, we are required to provide the link below to the Texas Department of State Health Services Complaint Page.  Although if you wish to file a formal complaint, we truly hope you will bring it to our attention so that we can have the opportunity to address it.
