Certification Training

Cross Trails Ministry is hosting a Level 1 Challenge Course Certification at Ebert Ranch Camp. Trainers from Adventure Experiences Inc. will be leading the 40 hour training and testing which will cover essential “hard” and “soft” skills to safely and effectively facilitate your program. These topics will include low elements, knot craft, industry standards, high element programming, introduction to legal liability, and risk management topics. Participants will have a written and practical test which will provide a one year certification.

The course will be offered May 5-9, 2025 at Ebert Ranch Camp in Harper, Texas. Ebert Ranch offers a zip line, pamper pole, dynamic and static belay transfers, dangle duo, low elements including Mohawk Walk, T.P. Shuffle, Mountain Tops, All Aboard, Wild Woozy, Triangle Tension Traverse, and more. Simulations will be used for the Team Wall and Flying Squirrel/Giant Swing. Participants can also be certified in rescue procedures and climbing towers.

Training will begin each day at 8:30am and will conclude at approximately 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

A recertification and testing day will be held on Friday, May 9th beginning at 8:30am and concluding at approximately 5:00pm. Participants wanting a recertification will need to bring their challenge course portfolio and will have had to have been certified within the past year or 16 hours of training by a challenge course manager.

Costs:
Commuter – Price includes training, certification test, lunch each day, and daily snacks. $725

Group Housing – Arrival will be on Sunday, May 4th after 6:00pm. Price includes training, certification test, meals and snacks as well as lodging in our bunkhouse style facility. 14 meals will be served beginning with breakfast on May 5th and ending with lunch on May 9th. The Bunkhouse consists of two large rooms with 12 bunk beds in each room with plenty of space to spread out. $1,050.00

Individual Rooms – Arrival will be on Sunday, May 4th after 6:00pm. Price includes training, certification test, meals and snacks as well as lodging in the Lela Haus Cabin. 14 meals will be served beginning with breakfast on May 5th and ending with lunch on May 9th.The Lela Haus Cabin will house people in private rooms with private bathroom facilities. Only 2 rooms are available. $1,500.00

Recertification – Price includes certification test, lunch, and a snack. $250.00
