Be a Trailblazer
Cross Trails Ministry “Trailblazers” are individuals, congregations and organizations who give from $300 to more than $10,000 annually. These leadership gifts help us to keep our ministry on a stable footing year after year.

If you, or your organization is interested in giving a designated leadership gift we would love to meet with you to share more about the possibilities, your passions and the impact your gift can have. Estate gifts provide a lasting legacy of support. Cross Trails Ministry’s camps and programs have benefited tremendously from people who thought of Cross Trails when making their estate plans.

Cross Trails Ministry Endowment Fund
Cross Trail Ministry has an endowment fund set up to provide annual gifts for current beyond the budget needs and new programs. Each year, the Board of Directors authorizes the withdrawal of a percentage of the endowment. Anyone can donate to this endowment at any time.

Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest:
Cross Trails Ministry benefits greatly from charitable legacy plans made by faithful people who supported us during their lifetime and wanted to continue that support into the future. Cross Trails works in partnership with the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest to provide comprehensive legacy planning services for family and ministry. Contact the foundation to make a confidential, no-obligation appointment to begin planning a legacy for your loved ones, Cross Trails, and other ministries of the church.

Make Cross Trails a Beneficiary
Consider making Cross Trails Ministry a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. After talking with your insurance agent, please contact us to get our full legal name and business ID number and let us know so we can thank you! This is a wonderful gift to Cross Trails Ministry.

Cross Trails Ministry keeps an ongoing wish list of items that we would like to have donated. Each item given to Cross Trails saves funds so that they can be used for other portions of the budget. Gifts of animals or vehicles require staff evaluation prior to acceptance. If you would like to donate something that is not on the list, but you think camp can use, please contact our office. Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law based on a value assigned by the giver. Your help in these practical ways is greatly appreciated!

These “large” items are needed in the near future for our ministry. Items may be gently used unless marked with an *. Those marked with an * must be purchased new through camp approved suppliers. Contact our office if you would like to donate one of these items. We would love to work with you!

Buy a Brick & “Pave the Way!”
You can honor a special person or event by purchasing a brick to be added to the rustic brick pathways at Camp Chrysalis. For $100 you can purchase a rectangular brick with up to three lines of text with up to fifteen characters per line, including spaces. For $75 you can purchase a square brick with up to three lines of text with up to seven characters per line, including spaces.

Give through Facebook
You can ask your friends to give to Cross Trails for your birthday or to commemorate a special event. Just select Cross Trails Ministry as the beneficiary when you set it up through Facebook.

Give Stocks
You can make your gift to Cross Trails Ministry by contributing appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or real estate. Your tax advantages are maximized if you donate appreciated assets that you have owned for more than one year. You obtain an income tax charitable deduction for the full current market value of the asset, and you avoid the capital gains tax that you would have paid if you sold the asset outright.

Employer Matching
Some employers offer matching funds for charitable gifts. We are a 501c3 religious non-profit. Check with your employer to see if matching your gift is a possibility.

Thrivent Choice
If you have a qualified investment or insurance with Thrivent Financial you earn Choice Dollars. These Choice Dollars do not come out of your investment but are from Thrivent. Choice Dollars can be contributed directly to Cross Trails Ministry. To designate where you would like your Choice Dollars to be dedicated to, please call your local Thrivent representative, or go on-line to www.Thrivent.com.

Thrivent Action Teams
If a you are a Thrivent Member, talk to us about getting a Thrivent Action Team gift to fund a volunteer project. These can help to cover the cost of volunteer projects at camp or your home congregation.

Have an Event of Your Own!
Some congregations and groups of friends have events of their own to raise funds for camp. If you are putting one of these together, please let us know. Maybe we can help, and we would love to recognize your efforts, so please take pictures!
