Camp Chrysalis

Take your faith to the extreme! Dare yourself on the Chrysalis climbing tower, ride the river on a kayak trip, and be one of the few to enjoy sleeping on the bluff in the Chrysalis treehouse!

Choose to swim, shoot archery, create crafts, canoe, fish, play camp games, hike, and have all kinds of camp fun! Campers can enjoy night activities and challenge themselves on the ropes course, or try kayaking, paddle boarding, and more. Chrysalis campers are immersed in fun and meaningful Christian community with interactive Bible study and camp-style worship as a part of each day.

Campers stay in air-conditioned cabins which circle a large playing field with a shaded sports court, ropes course, swimming pool, and more!

Campers live in the air-conditioned bunkhouse at the heart of the ranch within view of the riding arena, the ropes course, and so much more! Ebert Ranch Camp is 465 acres with rolling hills, picturesque oaks, wide skies, and a cool breeze. The Texas ranch setting is located just west of Fredericksburg near Harper.

Focus on your faith and your horsemanship skills! Wrangler campers build strong bonds with their horses, and even get to take them on an overnight trail ride. This program is for those who have a strong grasp on basic horsemanship skills and want to spend a week focusing on developing them further.

The Wranglers program is by invitation only for returning campers with strong basic horsemanship skills.

Campers live in the air-conditioned bunkhouse at the heart of the ranch within view of the riding arena, the ropes course, and so much more! Explore and practice your leadership skills! Reach beyond yourself as you learn peer ministry and discover the social and spiritual leadership skills that make it possible. Start off with a week at Ebert Ranch, including a day trip to the Llano River, then go to Camp Chrysalis for the weekend an stay for your second week there! No previous LYLE experience needed.

The Lutheran Youth Leadership Experience (LYLE) is a program that combines leadership skill development, service and each individual’s God-given gifts and interests. In the context of camp, LYLE’s experience challenging, experiential learning sessions designed to help them develop useful skills that will empower them as leaders.
